Abstract

Adopting a healthy lifestyle is one of the measures the public can take to maintain good health and prevent various diseases. A healthy lifestyle encompasses habits such as consuming a balanced and nutritious diet, engaging in regular physical activity, maintaining personal and environmental hygiene, ensuring adequate rest, managing stress, and avoiding behaviours that may increase the risk of health problems.¹,² A lack of knowledge regarding the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviours can be one of the barriers to establishing good health habits. ³ This community outreach activity aimed to enhance the public’s knowledge and awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle as part of disease prevention efforts in Tandam Hulu I. The activity took place on 21 August 2026 in the village of Tandam Hulu with 26 participants. The method involved face-to-face health education using posters, followed by a discussion and a question-and-answer session. The topics covered included a healthy diet, physical activity, personal and environmental hygiene, hand-washing habits, adequate rest, stress management, avoiding smoking, and regular health check-ups. The event proceeded smoothly, and participants showed enthusiasm throughout the presentation of the material and the discussion. It is hoped that this health education initiative will enhance the community’s understanding and encourage the consistent adoption of a healthy lifestyle in daily life as part of disease prevention efforts.
